The delicious center of excitement at Black Rock Lodge. Every day, our farm staff harvests the bounty that is in season and our kitchen incorporates these fresh ingredients into daily feasts.
Perched above the Macal River, the restaurant’s spectacular location and views attract visitors from every corner of Belize, who come to enjoy bird & nature watching from the dense canopies of the Elijio Panti Nature Reserve, directly opposite the viewing deck. Comfortably, our restaurant has seating for up to 60 guests upstairs and another 30 guests below on our Lower Deck. As the epicenter of the eco-lodge, we welcome our guests from our restaurant area upon arrival to direct them during orientation where adventure or leisure, awaits them.
Hundreds of fruit trees grow on the grounds of the Lodge. We have over 100 Banana and Plantain trees, several varieties of Mango trees, an orchard of Orange and Lime trees, a grove of Coconut Palms, as well as Tamarind trees, Chico Sapote trees, Breadfruit trees, Jackfruit trees, Passion Fruit trees, Avocado trees, Jaboticaba trees, Barbados Cherry trees, and Papaya trees. In addition, we also grow Sugar Cane, cultivate a small Coffee plantation, around 70 cacao trees, Gooseberry bushes and over three hundred Pineapple plants.
Our herd of goats provide fresh milk every day and we collect fresh eggs from our chickens who roam free all day along. We are the real deal making our own cheese, yogurt, granola, jams, bread, pastries and rolls.

All children under 5 years, receive a 50% discount on meals or can order from our Kids Menu- available on request. We are happy to provide dinner an hour earlier, at 6 pm, for families with little sleepyheads after a day of adventure. This needs to be arranged at breakfast with the management or restaurant supervisor.
