From the Belize-Guatemalan border, drive to the largest Mayan Site in Guatemala and the surrounding region. Discovered in 1848, Tikal underwent minor excavations beginning in 1877.

Today, extensive excavations make it possible for guests to imagine what the majestic city was like during its peak period from 550AD to 900AD. Truly one of the wonders of the world, Tikal is a special experience you will never forget. Due to the location of Tikal, only certified Guatemalan tour guides are authorized to conduct tours of the Tikal site.
