Swimming in the Macal River

Enjoy swimming in our mountain-fed river with a year-round temperature of about 78 degrees Farenheit. Dive off boulders into the jade-green waters, swing from a rope into the river, and relax in the sun on our beautiful, sandy beach. The Macal's clear water is home to a host of tropical fish such as: Tubah, Shishi, Kyato, Bahka, and Bottary. The Macal is also home to fresh water turtles: Bokotora and Hicciti. Cooling off in the river is an absolute luxury after horse back riding, hiking or caving.
