Belize's Marriage Certificates are internationally valid.

Requirements are: Bride and Groom must be in Belize at least three days prior to applying for a marriage license. You can get forms at the Attorney General's Office in Belmopan or at the Registry at the Supreme Court Building in Belize City. A Justice of the Peace (J.P.) must witness the completion and signatures of the forms.

Submit the forms at either of the locations mentioned above along with: Photocopies of your Passport showing your picture and date of entry into Belize. Proof of Marital status, if widowed or divorced and Marriage license fee of US$100. Then, go on a pre-honeymoon... as approval time is normally 5 to 7 days!
