| With
so many activities available to our guests, Black Rock is
the perfect place to spend your Belize vacation.
For
example, early one morning you may decide to hike to the peak
of the challenging Summit Trail to catch a glimpse of the
sun as it rises over the Mountain Pine Ridge. On your way
back down the trail you'll spot many of the 200+ species of
birds which call this area home. That afternoon you might
choose to take it easy and cool off on a leisurely tube ride
down the river - admiring the giant Garobo Iguanas along the
way.
Another
day, you may opt to pack one of our special picnic lunches
into your saddlebag and explore the unexcavated Mayan ruin
of Tipu, a 1.5 hour horseback ride from the Lodge. Stopping
by Flour Camp Cave on the way back to the Lodge you can investigate
centuries old Mayan potshards and artifacts with helpful historical
knowledge from one of our superb guides. After a nap and a
delicious dinner you might want to join the Night Hike and
catch glimpse of all sorts of creatures with your night vision
goggles, learning about the rainforest and its inhabitants
from one of our experienced guides.
The
opportunities for exploration and adventure are endless and
completely up to you. As with all of Black Rock's staff, our
guides are here to assist you to help make your stay with
us as fun and enjoyable as possible.
